August 2003
Media
Man Australia interviews Jesse Oxfeld of Media Bistro.
We
have been visiting MediaBistro.com for several months,
and considered them newsworthy enough to warrant a
telephone call to the United States.
Media
Bistro is a media portal of sorts, and the employment
section has been proving to be a big success amongst
their visitors. The website contains both free and
premium contact, and is becoming a destination website
for those in the media business.
Jesse
Oxfeld brings us inside the world of Media Bistro!
What exactly is Medio Bistro?

Jesse
was on staff at the defunct publications Brill's Content
and Inside.com, and he freelanced for such other defunct
publications as The Industry Standard, Gear, and Shout.
He has also worked for some still funct media organizations,
including Newsweek, ABC News, and Book magazine. A
native of the New Jersey suburbs, Jesse first rose
to media prominence as an undergraduate at Stanford
University, where, in addition to earning a degree
in American studies, he was briefly nationally famous
as a disgraced newspaper columnist. He's pretty sure
he has read more than 90 percent of all non-fiction
published in The New Yorker since 1992.
