Show, an arts program now in its second decade, has
moved from late nights to Wednesdays from 2-3PM.
Featuring
live bands, improv groups, actors, comedians, filmmakers,
authors, professional wrestlers and other eclectic
guests, the show now comes to 50,000 watt WBAI-FM's
huge daytime audience. A worldwide listenership on
the Internet also hears us live at wbai.org
and wbaifree.org
Host
Fred Geobold and co-host Evan Ginzburg have interviewed
and presented in-studio performances by such stars
as Pete Seeger, Joan Osborne and Cyndi Lauper as well
as innumerable bands and talents deserving greater
exposure. Light Show showcases CDs of unsigned and
smaller label groups of all musical genres and has
featured such brilliant improv troupes as the Upright
Citizens Brigade. Add wrestling legends like Bruno
Sammartino, Killer Kowalski, Fred Blassie, Lou Thesz
and Verne Gagne sharing their colorful tales and you
have an arts program unlike any other.
